Um dos principais colaboradores do Neoconcretismo, movimento que rompeu em diversos aspectos com os paradigmas da arte. de acordo com Cildo "O que me atraiu no neoconcretismo foi a possibilidade de pensar sobre arte em termos que não se limitassem os visual."&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;Em suas investigações Cildo busca tanto explorar os limites da representação, se valendo muitas vezes de materiais diversos e cotidianos, porem impregnados de valores simbólicos, como fósforo, garrafas de Coca-cola ou moedas. Como também a percepção dos espectadores, frequentemente mesclando e incorporando em seus trabalhos os sentidos da audição, do olfato e do tato, ampliando o campo visual da obra e requisitando o envolvimento completo da percepção do receptor. &lt;div&gt;Desde TIRADENTES:TOTEM-MONUMENTO AO PRESO POLITICO de 1970, em que o artista queimou dez galinhas vivas atadas a um poste, passando por MISSÃO - MISSÕES: COMO CONSTRUIR CATEDRAIS de 1987, trabalho em que oitocentas hóstias,dois mil ossos e seiscentas mil moedas se amalgamam para criar uma metáfora da violenta aniquilação dos povos da América , até o sutilmente perverso DESVIO PARA O VERMELHO, datado inicialmente de 1967, e remontado e apresentado ao público co&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;m grande impacto na XXIV Bienal de São Paulo em 1998 e agora entre outubro e janeiro de 2008/2009 na TATE MODERN em Londres, onde o artista recebeu uma grande exposição de caráter retrospectivo.Cildo tem conjugado enigmas, surpresas, paradoxos e contradições, sempre no intuito de desestabilizar o senso espacial e temporal comum, criando obras provocativas , de intensa carga política e dramática.&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 197px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_xl9eeTPHyws/SWbA1E7VKUI/AAAAAAAACrU/d2nXJ9kerfA/s200/rubber_stamp_1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289126830481418562" /&gt;Para esta exposição foi feito um corte curatorial onde se destacam trabalhos e registros que em sua maioria datam da década de 1970 , e tem como referencia questões de caráter político e territorial como no caso do registro fotográfico da ação realizada no trabalho PAULISTA/97 em 1997, na Av.Paulista, São Paulo, onde o artista aparafusou 100 parafusos de ouro em pedras portuguesa desta avenida ,buscando associar o valor de lastro simbólico do metal e desta avenida ao o que há de mais básico, importante e anódino, o chão onde todos nos pisamos todos os dias. Ou ainda a peça CRUZEIRO DO SUL de 1969/1970, obra em que um cubo de 9 mm de aresta, composto de duas secções transversais :uma de pinho, outra de carvalho, árvores que representam entidades míticas na cosmologia dos Tupis, entidades essas cuja correlação (equivocadamente interpretada pelos jesuítas como Tupã) proporcionava o aparecimento do fogo – por fricção entre as duas madeiras.  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Aleatoriedade, humor e reflexões a respeito da vida cotidiana e suas singularidades: talvez esses sejam pontos chaves do Grupo de Interferência Ambiental - GIA, coletivo artístico que foge a qualquer tentativa de definição. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;O grupo é formado por artistas visuais, designers, arte-educadores e (às vezes) músicos que têm em comum, além da amizade, uma admiração pelas linguagens artísticas contemporâneas e sua pluralidade, mais especificamente àquelas relacionadas à arte e ao espaço público. Pode-se dizer que as práticas do GIA beberam na fonte da arte conceitual, em que o estatuto da obra de arte é negado, em favor do processo e, muitas vezes, da ação efêmera, buscando uma reconfiguração da relação entre o artista e o público.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Um dos principais objetivos do grupo é a utilização de meios que possibilitem atingir uma margem cada vez maior de pessoas, tomando de assalto o espaço público. Assim, as ações do GIA procuram interrogar as condições em que os indivíduos atuam com os elementos do seu entorno, produzindo, assim, significados sociais. E esses significados, são também, processuais, pois segundo John Cage "o mundo, na realidade, não é um objeto, é um processo". Somos marcados pela transição entre hegemonias e pela violenta convivência de padrões tradicionais com os contemporâneos; o local e o global; desterritorialização e&lt;span style=""&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;reterritorialização e novamente desterritorialização, num movimento infinito.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Identidades estão sempre sendo construídas, re-construídas. Novas referências nascem a cada momento. Dinâmica já percebida por Lévi-Strauss, para quem a identidade não é uma substância palpável, mas lugar virtual, construção simbólica em constante mutação. O mundo se desterritorializa como Nação e se re-territorializa em outros níveis. A mundialização da cultura se define como transversalidade ao atravessar territórios cada vez mais vastos. Ciência, arte, tecnologia e uma infinidade de linguagens sobrepõem-se, juntam-se, combinan-se, re-combinam-se.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;E quais são essas fronteiras? Que espaços novos, que possibilidades a contemporaneidade abre para as expressões artísticas? As categorias tradicionais perderam sentido, enquanto expressão necessária à vida ao mundo? &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Essas são questões a serem discutidas em um dos debates de Artes Visuais, que conta com a participação de Diana Domingues , artista e teórica com pesquisas em ciberarte e cibercomunicação, ambientes interativos, imersivos, software art, com interfaces móveis e ambientes autônomos. Pasqualino Romano Magnavita integra o quadro docente permanente do Programa de Pós-graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo da UFBA, ministrando disciplinas no Mestrado e Doutorado desenvolve o tema &amp;quot;Aspectos Epistemológicos da Arquitetura Contemporânea na Interface da Lógica da Multiplicidade. Ayrson Heráclito Mestre em Artes Visuais pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). Professor do quadro permanente do Centro de Artes, Humanidades e Letras na Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB).
